Texas Book Festival Announces 2010 Authors

This is a great day! The Texas Book Festival just announced the 2010 list of authors who will be appearing October 16-17 in Austin, TX. I’m thrilled to have been invited to be a featured author to discuss Pink Ribbon Blues. I never anticipated participating in an event alongside people such as Pulitzer prize-winning author Michael Cunningham, former First Lady Laura Bush, or journalists like Michele Norris, Ian Frazier, Jake Silverstein, Robert Bryce and S.C. Gwynne. I think I’m a little nervous…

If you’re nearby, make a point to visit the incredible town of Austin and join the tens of thousands of people who visit the festival to hear their favorite authors talk about their work. It’s even FREE.

Here’s information about the Festival, the list of writers appearing this year, and my author page. The program will be available in mid-September, so stay tuned! It would be a lovely time of year to visit TX (hint, hint!)

Hey, Gayle. The people who get to hear your talk at the Texas Book Festival are in for a treat. After hearing you speak, I’ve never been able to think about the Pink Ribbon in the same way. (I never noticed quite how ubiquitous it was until now either.) Much luck with the new book!

Congratulations on your book. It sounds quite interesting. I am very interested in reading it. I am an RN and have worked with cancer patients for 9 years. I also worked in Hospice and my husband died with cancer. I have read a lot of research and your subject matters sound quite interesting. Best Wishes.

So awesome…wish I could be there. Have a great time.
